Who was the person who gave Les Savy Fav’s Tim Harrington his own show? Please, please, PLEASE e-mail me right this instant because I want to hug you. I’ll buy you a beer? Maybe I’ll take some tips from Tim and his second episode of Beardo and give you a foot massage? Anyways, this show, which is hosted by Pitchfork.TV, is aces and if you do not like it, I do not want to know you, let alone, be your friend.
Check it out here. Prepare thyself.

To support their ninth full-length, Merriweather Post Pavilion, Animal Collective will play a few scattered gigs early next year in the States. After some shows across the Atlantic, the band will play NYC on January 20th (which is the release date for the record). Also, I’m not sure if the album cover is suppose to move like that, but shit man, it’s giving me a migraine. Wait, IS it moving? Oh god, what’s happening to me? I’m losing my mind. Curse you Animal Collective!
(Cough) Um, read after the jump for the dates.

Photographer Theresa Kereakes will showcase her shots of The Dead Boys, Blondie, Joan Jett, Billy Idol, The Germs, The Ramones, and many more in a two-month exhibit entitled “Unguarded Moments: Backstage and Beyond.” The exhibit runs from December 5th to Janurary 9th, 2009 at Lancaster, PA’s Metropolis Gallery. Detroit-based soul singer Nathaniel Mayer has passed away at the age of 64. Mayer had been enduring a series of strokes days before his passing. He was a huge inspiration for artists like The Dirtbombs, The Black Keys, The Detroit Cobras (who covered his song “Village of Love”) and Holly Golightly. His last album, Why Don’t You Give It To Me?, which was released in 2007 through Alive-Naturalsound Records. Our thoughts go out to his family.
