Goddamn, this summer’s been way too hot for comfort.

So yesterday was Jelly NYC’s 2nd McCarren Pool Party and it turned out great. One of my all time favorite live bands, Dead Meadow, played and totally killed it. I’ll update this blog later with further thoughts and pictures. In the meantime, make sure you check out our website

Late Night Wallflower came about in the summer of 2006. Three music obsessed college students - Alfie, Elona, and Matt - all found each other at St. John’s campus radio station, WSJU. When all three of them got together in the station, everyone else knew to clear out because there was no way anyone else could stomach hearing all of the music news and opinions they bounced off each other. After two semesters, they figured they should use their gift of music elitism to help the masses. The blog also gave them an excuse to keep in touch and spend time together since polygamy is frowned upon in America.

Alfie:

My favorite beer is Guiness.

Fav bands: Bob Dylan, Jesus and Mary Chain, Radiohead, Mogwai, Tool, Stooges, Fugazi, Spiritualized, Primal Scream, Hot Snakes, Depeche Mode. I pray that no one makes too long a list here.

Elona:

I like eating strawberry ice cream with gummi bears at the bottom of the cup and watching gore movies.

Fav Bands: Jawbreaker, X, Minutemen, The Smiths, Modern Life Is War, The Bouncing Souls, Defiance, Ohio, Minor Threat, The Velvet Underground, etc.

Matt:

I enjoy holding my ground and reading science fiction novels.
