Whenever I have spare time in my work day I always scour the internet looking for Morrissey or Blake Schwarzenbach interviews. Today I came across a site that documents a couple of letters written by Morrissey to a pen pal he had before he became famous. The letters were once collected in a now out of print book called “Words by Morrissey”. The letters are of course very clever and funny, they even have crude doodles on them. It makes me mad that I never had a cool pen pal like that when I wrote to people while in elementary school. My class always had to write to the kids that went to the school across the street from us. Boring.
