"Metallica" Rejected As Baby Girl’s Name

The Swedes seem like they are always trying to hold the man down and this news article on MSNBC is just another example of those totalitarian thugs trying to squash our God given freedoms. A couple in Sweden filed to have their baby girl named “Metallica”, after the famous metal band, but had their request denied by the Swedish tax authority. The article quotes the girl’s mother as saying “It suits her. She’s decisive, and she knows what she wants.” The tax board rejected their proposal saying it has a negative connotation, due to its association with the band.

So what do you think? Should the parents be allowed to name their kid “Metallica” or does the tax board have a point? Discuss it in the comments!

You should be able to name your kid whatever you want. But why would you name it after some washed-up metal band. At least name her after one of their good albums. Ahhh, lil’ Kill ‘Em All Tomaro or Master of Puppets Tomaro. Rolls off the tongue.
