Man Man | McCarren Pool, Brooklyn, NYC | 07/01/07

Sure, I could talk about opening acts Dengue Fever and Illinois, but honestly, I know deep down that most of the people in attendance this past Sunday were there for Man Man. Despite having an enormous stage at their disposal, the band jammed together in the center, as if they barely had room to move.

Photos from Man Man’s set can be found after the jump and here.

In between the usual spoon throwing, stool jumping, and odd drumming, the band debuted some new tracks, as well as the hits, like “Black Mission Goggles” “Engwish Bwudd,” and “Van Helsing Boombox” off 2006’s Six Demon Bag (Ace Fu). It’s pretty much impossible to take a bad picture of this band and they seemed to be enjoying the sunshine and huge crowd that came out on a gorgeous Sunday to see them.

Jelly NYC’s pool parties continue all summer long, so make sure to catch up on the schedule at their site.

Photos from opening acts What Cheer?, Brigade, Illinois, and Dengue Fever can be found here.
