I don’t know why this hasn’t been reported more, but Thurston Moore from a little well known band Sonic Youth will be opening up for Mr. Bright Eyes himself Conor Oberst at Radio City Music Hall on November 19. Moore is supporting his latest solo release Trees Outside the Academy.

Meanwhile, Thurston’s other band Sonic Youth recorded their version of the rarely heard Bob Dylan song “I’m Not There,” for the upcoming Todd Haynes film of the same name. Also featured on the soundtrack, which will be released on 10/30,  will be Tom Verlaine, Stephen Malkmus, Karen O, and Eddie Vedder.
