Interview With MC Louden Noxious Of Kaiju Big Battel

Do you live in NYC and have no plans for this Friday night? Well then you better get your ass over to Brooklyn for the premiere monster wrestling event of the year. Kaiju Big Battel are taking over the Warsaw for a night of body slams, creatures with four eyes, and all sorts of weirdness I can’t even begin to describe. We got a chance to talk with MC Louden Noxious, one of the few humans allowed to work with Kaiju, about his career and tomorrow’s event. Check it out after the jump.

How did you get started with Kaiju?

Well, my uncle is the Kaiju Commissioner and I, um, applied for the job of the Kaiju MC. So, due to my public speaking skills and in-depth live monster wrestling knowledge I got the job.

What do you think of Godzilla? Chump fighter or pioneering monster who broke down barriers for the monster race?

No one believes in Godzilla. He’s just some Japanese fairy tale monster personified by a guy dressed in a rubber lizard suit. The Kaiju monsters are the real deal…I’d be insulting the entire Kaiju Big Battel community if I ever compared Godzilla with Kaiju Big Battel.

How did the collaboration with Bloc Party come about?

The director, Ace Norton, called me at home, said he was a fan, and asked if I could wrangle up some of the more civilized monsters for a video shoot. The rest is history.

Any plans to bring Kaiju abroad?

Are you a professional journalist? You have got to do your home work. I run a world wide organization. If I don’t do my job right, the whole planet would be razed flat by giant city-crushing monsters!

What is your favorite Kaiju Big Battel moment?

The after parties are by far the best part of the Big Battel. The girls and sheer volume of booze is mind-boggling.

If you could have any real life person fight a Kaiju monster, who would it be?

I not sure what you mean by real life, because as you know monsters are real. But my fantasy fight would probably Weeman and Lil Kim.

What is the best fight song or song that gets the audience pumped up?

That is a very tough question. The kids, these days, really love the heavy stuff. You know, that mosh-up boot-mark on your face type of music. I mean, when the Slayer kicks in all the heavy metal dirt bags go berserk! “Reign in Blood” gets ‘em pumped up for sure.
Can we expect any surprises or special guests for the Battel Royale in NYC on November 9th?

You can bet your O.J. sports memorabilia there will be plenty of special surprises at the Warsawon Friday. Due to a strict confidentiality contract, I can’t tell you that Bloc Party won’t be there or that Steam Powered Tentacle Boulder, Kaiju’s newest Hero, is gonna rock the socks off of Brooklyn. Come on down and see for yourself, but be sure to tie up those sneakers real tight, because I would hate to see you get blisters cause you lost your bootie socks at the Big Battel.
