Brooklyn’s Friendly Fire Reuniting For One Night Only

One of my favorite (and grossly under-appreciated) local hardcore acts, Friendly Fire, will be back for one night only on February 15th in the Bronx at the First Lutheran Church (home of the DIY collective The Bronx Underground).

Click below for the flier, Friendly Fire’s video for the song “The One Who Pulls The Trigger”, and check out the Bronx Underground site for directions.

Kaki King Announces Tour For “Revenge”

Guitar player extraodinaire Kaki King is certainly no slouch, whether she is recording her new album (Dreaming of Revenge, out March 11, 2008) or touring and recording with with no-name musicians like Dave Grohl, Eddie Vedder, and Tegan & Sara, it’s clear that Ms. King clearly just can’t sit still. Kaki will be hitting the road to promote her newest release in the coming months, bringing her soothing, looped-out guitar work all across the country. You can listen to a new track “2 O’Clock” below.

Check out more photos of Kaki performing at the SoHo Apple store, as part of the New York Guitar Festival last week.
