Against Me! have made the song “Gypsy Panther,” which was recorded during the sessions for New Wave, available for streaming over on their MySpace Page. It will be available for purchase on iTunes next Tuesday, March 4th.
This is possibly the most important way someone can tell they’ve just attended a stupendous show: immediately after showering off the sweat and pit grime, you’re on the computer checking when the band is coming back or if the show the next day is within driving distance. That was the other night at The First Unitarian Church in Philly. After the Gaslight Anthem ripped the venue apart, the Loved Ones put it back together then ripped it apart again. That, combined with pleasantly surprising openers Amateur Party and The Ergs, made this my favorite show of the year so far.

Less than a week until Generation Records opens up the basement to Philly’s finest Paint It Black. The store still has a few spots open so come in today, buy their fantastic new full-length New Lexicon, and get a guestlist spot for their in-store. There will be another announcement tomorrow about the show so stay tuned. The band will be playing at 2 P.M., so stop by early and shop beforehand and say hi. Now this, ladies and gentlemen, is a tour! Psych-rockers Health and 8-bit weirdo-dancers Crystal Castles are set to take over the U.S. in a tour of epic proportions. Starting in March, the two will be criss-crossing the country in support of their latest efforts: Health’s self-titled album already out on Lovepump United, and Crystal Castle’s upcoming full-length due out March 18th. Heck, the two like each other so much they currently have a split remix single out now on Lovepump (for real though, Crystal Castle’s remix of Health’s “Crimewave” is seriously amazing) . Philly hardcore crushers Blacklisted are back at it again. Despite a brief break-up scare, the group have been churning out tunes on a consistent basis since deciding to stick together. The band’s latest effort, Heavier Than Heaven, Lonelier Than God, is hitting the streets soon on April 1st and Deathwish has a bunch of snazzy pre-order packages setup for your ordering pleasure, including t-shirts and longsleeves, up here. Deathwish also has two new tracks, “Matrimony” and “I Am Weighing Me Down,” up on their site that you can check out and start getting your mosh on.
Blacklisted are also heading out on tour soon, so get ready for them to destroy a town near you in the coming months. Dates after the jump.
