I’ve been obsessed with The Gutter Twins debut full-length Saturnalia (Sub Pop) of late. It’s filled to the brim with moody and bluesy soulfulness. And come on, it’s got two amazing frontmen on one album; The Afghan Whigs’ Greg Dulli and Screaming Trees’ Mark Lanegan. Great stuff. I recommend you check out their new video below, which is for their new single “All Misery/Flowers.”
Miss The Hives on their last go around of the States? Well then, you are in luck. Sweden’s best export are back again to rock the collective faces of the nation (well, the middle states atleast) for a short jaunt this spring. It may only be a week long, but this is a tour you do not want to miss. Check out the dates after the jump.
They may have been dormant for the past couple of months, but Neurot Records have laid out a pretty action-packed spring release schedule. I hate Guns N’ Roses but I’d love me some free Dr. Pepper. Spinner is reporting that Dr. Pepper will give “everyone in America” a free can of their soda if Axl Rose releases his, uh, looooooong-delayed Chinese Democracy this year. Everyone, you say? Will Axl Rose personally hand it out to everyone? Man, I can only hope so. Read all about it here.
