Band Spotlight: Clatter Clatter

Who: Clatter Clatter

What do they sound like: Smooth indie/Get Up Kids-influenced pop.

Why you should listen: Although they have enough soul and bite to stand out from other indie bands these days, Clatter Clatter just want to have fun. Screw the trappings of being a musician! Playing great songs is their mission. As a New Yorker, I shouldn’t be rooting for Bostonians, but whatever, they’re good. Check out “Downpour” and “Just To Say” at their Myspace page.

ScarJo And Blondie Hook Up On Myspace

Hmm, Scarlett Johansson or old school Debbie Harry? Who would you want more? Before this site turns into some Perez Hilton shit, just go here and check out this interview that the two did for Myspace. It’s actually sorta of interesting. Side note, I haven’t heard it yet but I actually kinda want to hear ScarJo’s album. Sue me.

VIDEO: Weezer - “Pork And Beans”

Let’s be honest, Weezer have not released a good album in quite some time. Although, every time they are about to release something new it always peaks my interest. The first songs that have surfaced have been mediocre, but the first video for “Pork and Beans” is a pretty amazing feat.

According to a recent interview with Rivers, “Pork and Beans” was written in reaction to his label rejecting his first batch of songs for the new album. In turn, he created a tounge-in-cheek song to supposedly appeal to the masses. Essentially, the song refers to the dumbed down state of our current society. To help bring this theme to video, Weezer have brought in all of your favorite YouTube celebrities, from Tay Zonday to Miss South Carolina. Check out the clip below!
