Video: The Hold Steady - “Stay Positive”

There’s no question in my mind; The Hold Steady’s “Stay Positive” is one of the best songs of the year. I’m sure a lot of people will be agreeing with me on that one when they start putting together their year-end lists. The band has just released a video for the song and you can check it below.

In Memoriam: Mikey Brosnan

Mikey Brosnan, a pillar of the Philadelphia punk community, was killed this past weekend when he was hit by a drunk driver in West Philadelphia. He was 34 years old. Brosnan created the beloved DIY venue Stalag 13, which helped keep Philly’s independent scene alive in the mid 90’s. He also founded Goatboy Records (which later became Legion Records), who are most recognized for releasing records by Burn The Priest, who would later become Lamb of God. There is a message board thread going on at Phillyshreds, so check it out if you have any thoughts about Mikey. Our thoughts go out to his family.

Until I finally write that up, here are two videos from the weekend; one of Bridge and Tunnel’s show in a hotel room, and another from their Tampa pre-Fest show, which was shot by our friends at National Underground. Check them both after the jump.
