In Memoriam: Mikey Brosnan

Mikey Brosnan, a pillar of the Philadelphia punk community, was killed this past weekend when he was hit by a drunk driver in West Philadelphia. He was 34 years old. Brosnan created the beloved DIY venue Stalag 13, which helped keep Philly’s independent scene alive in the mid 90’s. He also founded Goatboy Records (which later became Legion Records), who are most recognized for releasing records by Burn The Priest, who would later become Lamb of God. There is a message board thread going on at Phillyshreds, so check it out if you have any thoughts about Mikey. Our thoughts go out to his family.
