I’ve been singing the praises of Cloak/Dagger for quite some time now. Their 2006 full-length We Are (which was my #1 album of that year) is still constantly played on my iPod, turntable, cd player, what have you. Now the boys are back with a brand new “untitled” 7-inch for Jade Tree Records. And jesus christ, they’ve done it again. Cloak/Dagger can do no wrong!

They are seriously one of the more under-appreciated punk bands out there. The two songs, The Adolescents-inspired “Surf Song” and Hot Snakes-esque rumble of “Concentration Camp,” aren’t that much different from their last album but hey, if it ain’t broke, why fix it? I’m certainly not complaining one bit.

These two songs make me want a new record even more. I just read on their site that they are planning on getting in the studio this spring, so I’m hoping it won’t be long until I get my wish. I won’t give you a top ten list this time around. Just go get this now.
