Song of the Day – Descendents “Bikeage”

When I was 14-years-old, I had bleached hair, wore cut-off Dickies, and wanted nothing more than to master a kick-flip and date a girl whose parents thought I was bad news (two unattained goals). Around that time, I discovered a punk band called the Descendents. I bought a CD copy of Liveage with a Best Buy gift certificate I got as a birthday present and as soon as I could scrounge up enough money I bought Milo Goes to College. I’ve always been a sucker for a pop-punk gem, and “Bikeage” to still one of the best. The intro itself just sends me into a nostalgia trip  full of chain wallets, mosh-pits, and underage drinking.
