Song Of The Day: Flying Lotus – “Archway (Teebs Remix)”

I’m still on a high from the best Record Store Day I’ve ever had. Not only did I see an amazing show and see some amazing DJ’s at Generation Records, but I was able to get all the records I wanted.

One of them is the limited 12” of Alternate Takes from Flying Lotus’ amazing 2010 Cosmogramma. On this LP, we see a softer, more groovy side of the album. There’s string arrangements, “stripped” versions, and even an all harp track. But for me the closing track, “Archway (Teebs Remix)” almost takes things back to the Reset EP in terms of cool, groovy, sun-soaked tracks. It just makes you want to crack open a beer on a porch and watch the sunset. Just kick back and enjoy.
