Song Of The Day: Unnatural Helpers – “Sunshine / Pretty Girls”
Some days nice weather, smiling faces, and pretty-yet-unattainable girls just don’t feel right. While everyone is happy, you just feel angsty and agitated with it all. Let Seattle’s Unnatural Helpers be the soundtrack to those days my friend. And maybe get an ice cream cone or something?
But it’s not all rain clouds with the band. The band, which is the brainchild of Dean Whitmore (formally of The Intelligence), have a deep and diverse arsenal of influences. Cracked Love & Other Drugs, released last year on Hardly Art Records, shows traces of Mudhoney, Tyvek, Modern Lovers, Flipper, and The Mummies.
