Bored This Weekend? We Have The Solution

So it’s finally the weekend. Your chance to kick back, sleep in late, and catch up on bills. Or you could have a ton of fun and see lots of awesome bands for free! If you ask us at LNWF, we’d certainly take the latter. Huzzah! More information after the jump!

Quick Updates: Alkaline Trio, Glassjaw, Bridge Nine Records, O’Death

Alkaline Trio have posted a re-mastered version of “Cringe” on their MySpace page which we be on the Goddamnit Redux: Tenth Anniversary Edition, due out in March from Asian Man Records.

Bridge Nine Records have posted a digital sampler with tracks, videos and a cool flipbook. The sampler features music from Crime In Stereo, Ruiner, Ceremony, Ambitions and more.

Glassjaw have also posted a new track titled “Yum Yum,” which is a static drenched drum loop that hurt your ears if you are wearing headphones. At the end you get to hear a cymbal! Don’t waste your time.

Our favorite moonshine-drinkin’-folk-maniacs O’Death have announced two year-end shows at the Mercury Lounge. The shows will be on 12/21-22 at you can get all the info here. Seriously, if you haven’t seen these guys live yet, what are you freakin’ waiting for?

If you have gone in past years, you will most likely utter “the (place year here)lineup was so much better” and/or “these kids have no taste.” While I, for the most part, agree with the latter when it comes to about 90% of the tour’s roster, there are always a few bands that make it well worth it. This year, along with tour-veterans Bad Religion, Alkaline Trio and Bayside, UK-uber-hyped-hardcore-youngsters Gallows were among the highlights.
