Coachella | Day One | 04/27/07


12:00pm: Alfie: I get ready to eat breakfast at the Residence Inn Palm Desert, where I’ll be staying at for the duration of my Coachella trip.

2:oopm: Alfie: After a 30 minute cab ride (and the outrageous fee of $60), I begin heading through the parking lot of the Empire Polo Field, where I can already here the Jesus and Mary Chain soundcheck “Reverence” and “Just Like Honey.” Naturally, I’m beyond psyched at this point to be seeing one of my favorite bands of all time in a few hours.

Live Stream Of Björk Concert


This piece of news was great for me to hear because I love love (times infinity) love Björk because her voice is absolutely phenomenal and she’s always musically daring. However, I do not have tickets to see any of her NY shows (insert sad face).
It’s such a pleasure to hear that NPR Music and WNYC will have a live stream of one of Björk’s NY performances. The May 5th United Palace show will be streamed live via www.NPR.org/music. WNYC will also have an encore broadcast (on the radio and on the web at WNYC.org) on Monday, May 14th @ 7 p.m. EST.
