Here are some pictures Linda took of the The Obits from their show at The Music Hall of Williamsburg on October 19th. I can’t wait to hear some recorded material from this band because they are freakin’ incredible live. They are playing with The Night Marchers on December 17th at NYC’s Santo’s Party House. You should probably cancel all your plans and go see what is sure to be one of the best shows of the year.

Against Me! and Ted Leo & The Pharmacists combined for one hell of a double bill at Webster Hall on October 11th. Both bands spent time earlier in the year on the arena circuit (AM! with The Foo Fighters, Ted Leo with Pearl Jam), so it was good to see them playing on a somewhat smaller stage. The highlight of the show was Against Me! playing “The Disco Before The Breakdown,” which I have never heard the band play live before. Even though there was no horn section with it, it still sounded amazing. Check out some pictures after the jump.

These are some photographs I took of Tom Gabel playing at Generation Records.  This was, by far, my favorite in-store yet.  It was awesome to see the basement of the record store packed with fans, singing along and having a great time.  Annnd he played “Joy” and “8 Full Hours of Sleep,” so that made my day.

More pictures after the jump.
