Kermit Feeling Depressed, Covers Elliott Smith

I never thought I would be laughing while Elliott Smith’s classic “Needle in the Hay” was being played. That is, until this video popped up that features Kermit (well…Sad Kermit atleast), fed up with being green and probably Miss Piggy’s contstant smothering, singing those all-so-painful lyrics. Elliott Smith’s “XO” And “Figure 8″ Get The Reissue Treatment

Plain Recordings has reissued Elliott Smith’s two major label full-lengths XO and Figure 8. The two albums had been long out of print so, personally, I’m overjoyed they have found their way back onto vinyl. We have them at Generation Records or can you pick them up here.

"New Moon" Rising

The late great Elliott Smith lives on. According to various reports, a two-disc collection of unreleased music from the singer/songwriter will be released this spring. Smith’s original label Kill Rock Stars will release the collection on May 8th.

The two disc collection, which was produced by longtime friend Rob Schnapf, will feature tracks recorded between 1995-1997. Also, a portion of the proceeds from the album will go toward the Portland, Ore. based organization Outside In.
