In celebration of her latest album, Dreaming of Revenge, Kaki King has graced us with a lovely video for the song “Pull Me Out Alive.” In addition to a brand spankin’ new album, Ms. King also kicked off her tour this week, so make sure to check out the dates after the jump.

Guitar player extraodinaire Kaki King is certainly no slouch, whether she is recording her new album (Dreaming of Revenge, out March 11, 2008) or touring and recording with with no-name musicians like Dave Grohl, Eddie Vedder, and Tegan & Sara, it’s clear that Ms. King clearly just can’t sit still. Kaki will be hitting the road to promote her newest release in the coming months, bringing her soothing, looped-out guitar work all across the country. It may have seemed like guitar virtuoso Kaki King was taking a much needed break the past couple of years, but she certainly had us fooled. Between recording with the Foo Fighters and being nominated for a Golden Globe for her work with Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder for the soundtrack of Into the Wild, Ms. King also found time to record a brand new album. Dreaming of Revenge. The new album is set to come out on March 11, 2008 via the Velour Music Group and Kaki seems very psyched about the new album. According to her, “We really concentrated on the melodies. Everything I write tends to be dense and chordal, but this time the idea was to layer the challenging guitar work under very simple, beautiful melodies. I really wanted them to be memorable.” Excited? I know I am.
