Tesco Vee in-store tomorrow at Generation Records!

Posted on August 27th, 2010 by Matthew

On Saturday, August 28th, the infamous Tesco Vee of The Meatmen will be rolling through Generation Records in support of his new book, “Touch and Go: the Complete Hardcore Punk Zine ‘79-’83.” Touch and Go was one of the most influential hardcore punk zines with it’s biting and sarcastic style. It was one of the first
zines to really recognize the importance of the D.C. scene (Minor Threat, Scream) while also writing about their own burgeoning Detroit
Hardcore / Punk scene (Necros, Negative Approach, Fix). This book is a complete collection of all the issues and is a must have for any Punk & Hardcore fan.

Tesco Vee will be performing with his band, The Hate Police at 1:00PM. He will then be signing books at 2:00PM. Also appearing will be Tony Rettman, the
author of “Why Be Something That You’re Not”, a book chronicling the history of Detroit Hardcore from ‘79-’85
which includes a forward by Tesco Vee.

There be will plenty of copies of both books available during the in-store. Come by and pick up signed copies.

And if that’s not enough, you can catch Tesco Vee and the Hate Police opening up for Negative
Approach later that night at Santo’s
 Party House.
