Polar Bear Club have announced their touring plans for the next month. The band will be playing shows with American Steel, O Pioneers!!!, and The Gaslight Anthem. Check the dates after the jump.
By the beard of Zeus, I freaking love Bridge and Tunnel! So much so that I ventured out into the cold, face-freezing weather to Greenpoint’s Lost and Found Bar to catch them. What amazes me about the band is that even though they have only been around for a short period of time, they already pack more intensity in a three minute song than most current bands do with an entire full-length. And hey, any band that can nail a cover of Rumbleseat’s “Cursing Concrete” deserves a ten in my book.
Do yourself a favor and pick up their self-titled debut 7-inch from No Idea Records. The band, which is made up of former members of Slingshot Dakota and Latterman, are currently hashing out their debut full-length. They are aiming to have the record out early on in 2008, so be on the lookout for that. And of course, we have a Bridge and Tunnel song in our Late Nix Mix player on the right, so check it out.

Bridge and Tunnel (Ex-Latterman), Lagrecia (Jason from Kid Dynamite/None More Black), Dirty Money, The Sidekicks, and O Pioneers!!! will be playing at the Lost and Found Bar in Brooklyn tonight. The totally awesome and man-sexy O Pioneers!!! are on tour and, despite what you might have heard on the Internet about trashed hotel rooms and barfights with ninjas, are totally stoked to be on the road. Also, they will be able to bring you their split with Bomb The Music Industry on Team Science Records, featuring artwork by the very cool Mitch Clem.
So dust off your dancing shoes and get yourself a designated driver, because for OP!!!, you’re gonna need ‘em both. They’ll be playing with other bands you need to listen to including Bridge And Tunnel, Ghost Town Trio, and Bomb The Music Industry.
