Judging by the names of the two bands that opened played the Bowery Ballroom in NYC on Friday night, one would imagine a death metal show of epic proportions. Murder By O’Death Tour!

After wrapping up their tour with Clutch, Bloomington, Indiana’s Murder By Death will embark on a headlining tour of the US in support of their new record Red of Tooth and Claw (Vagrant). Quick Updates: Alkaline Trio, Glassjaw, Bridge Nine Records, O’Death

Alkaline Trio have posted a re-mastered version of “Cringe” on their MySpace page which we be on the Goddamnit Redux: Tenth Anniversary Edition, due out in March from Asian Man Records.

Bridge Nine Records have posted a digital sampler with tracks, videos and a cool flipbook. The sampler features music from Crime In Stereo, Ruiner, Ceremony, Ambitions and more.

Glassjaw have also posted a new track titled “Yum Yum,” which is a static drenched drum loop that hurt your ears if you are wearing headphones. At the end you get to hear a cymbal! Don’t waste your time.

Our favorite moonshine-drinkin’-folk-maniacs O’Death have announced two year-end shows at the Mercury Lounge. The shows will be on 12/21-22 at you can get all the info here. Seriously, if you haven’t seen these guys live yet, what are you freakin’ waiting for?

O’Death Sign To Ernest Jennings

Brooklyn based O’Death has finally found an official home for their bluegrass-gone-punk madness with Ernest Jennings Record Co. CMJ is reporting that the band will first re-release a remastered version of Head Home, before working on a new album.

The band just played SXSW and has a few shows lined up in the next few weeks. Check them out here.
