7-Inch Corner: Papermoons

Yeah, I know I’m not Matt, but whatever, I’m just as cute. Boys and girls, welcome to the latest installment of Late Night Wallflower’s 7-Inch Corner!

So I got this lovely in the mail with in blue splattered vinyl, and having heard good things about Papermoons in the past, decided to give it a spin.

The “Papermoons” 7-inch (Team Science) is four little songs from Houston’s favorite folk/country/pop duo. Side A’s “Honesty” and “California” are, in my opinion, the best of the four and totally blow me away. It’s the end of October now, but putting this on and hearing Matt and Daniel sing soft but incredibly powerful songs that just tug at you from the inside totally reminds me of summer nights, sitting and drinking beers on a porch or in the woods. I definitely recommend this bad boy. Along with some friends, fireflies, and a six-pack to make your nights kick ass.
