Boredoms Announce Spring Tour, Going “In The Round”

boredoms

If you are like me than you were one of the many who missed out on the Boredoms’ almost-legendary Boredrums77 over the summer in New York City (editorial note: cry). Good news though because the Japanese psych-noise-ambient-what-have-you rockers have announced a decent sized spring tour. Several of the dates (including New York City) will be played “in the round,” heightening the already dangerous levels of ridiculousness. Check the dates after the jump!

Hot Water Music Announce More Shows, SXSW Date

As somewhat expected, Hot Water Music have announced a few more shows on their reunion tour. Along with the already confirmed Orlando, Sayreville, and Chicago dates, the ‘org is reporting that the boys have announced a Gainesville show (I mean, how could they NOT play there?!), a SXSW apperance and a few TBA’s along the way.

Staff writer Bill had this to say about the news (we were writing about this at the same time, haha) : Those who were at SXSW in Austin last year may have heard the rumors that Hot Water Music was playing a surprise reunion. (I had even received a wristband from someone for this supposed show!) It seemed possible, The Draft and Chuck were in town, but alas they did not perform.

Well, no rumors this year. Check the dates out below.

Bridge And Tunnel | Lost And Found Bar, Brooklyn, NY | 12/12/07

By the beard of Zeus, I freaking love Bridge and Tunnel! So much so that I ventured out into the cold, face-freezing weather to Greenpoint’s Lost and Found Bar to catch them. What amazes me about the band is that even though they have only been around for a short period of time, they already pack more intensity in a three minute song than most current bands do with an entire full-length. And hey, any band that can nail a cover of Rumbleseat’s “Cursing Concrete” deserves a ten in my book.

Do yourself a favor and pick up their self-titled debut 7-inch from No Idea Records. The band, which is made up of former members of Slingshot Dakota and Latterman, are currently hashing out their debut full-length. They are aiming to have the record out early on in 2008, so be on the lookout for that. And of course, we have a Bridge and Tunnel song in our Late Nix Mix player on the right, so check it out.

The Bouncing Souls have announced 3 holiday shows 12/27 to 12/29 at the Stone Pony in Asbury park NJ. Tickets to the shows are on sale now.

From the band:

“A while back we had you the fans vote for your favorite Souls songs. Consequently, we ended up with a sort of “top 40″ list. We will be counting down that list in order, from 40 to 1 (20 songs each night) on the 28th and 29th. For the 27th (first night), we will be playing a mix of 20 other fuckin awesome Souls songs. That’s right, 60 DIFFERENT SONGS IN THREE NIGHTS! Wow. And who knows, maybe we’ll even play more.” See the complete list of songs after the jump.
