It looks like the special guest is out of the bag. CIV has been confirmed for the already jam-packed Black ‘N’ Blue Bowl ‘08 lineup. The band, which contained former Gorilla Biscuits members Civ, Arthur Similios, along with Charlie Garriga and Sammy Siegler broke up in 2000. The date and initial lineup for the 2008 edition of the Superbowl of Hardcore has been announced. The show will take place on April 5th at Brooklyn’s Studio B. The lineup so far is packed to the gills with hardcore heavyweights, including Agnostic Front, Madball, Terror, a reunited Breakdown, Bloodclot, among many others. Be on the lookout for a few more additions and a surprise guest.
Starting today, tickets will be available at Generation Records for $26 (cash only and no phone transactions).

On Saturday, hardcore legends Negative Approach headlined this year’s Superbowl of Hardcore. Despite the controversy about only half of the original lineup being involved with the reunion, the performance marked the band’s first NYC performance in about twenty four years. Vincent Li was there taking pictures and got some great shots. Click below to check out the shots.
Reunited hardcore behemoths Negative Approach will play this year’s Superbowl of Hardcore. The show goes down on May 19th at Studio B in Brooklyn. The event will mark the first time the band has played in NYC since disbanding in 1983.
Also playing this year are H20, Cold As Life, 100 Demons, All Out War and Full Blown Chaos among many, many others.
Tickets are twenty five dollars, plus a one dollar service charge at Generation Records or online at Pitchfork Hardwear
