The boys of Static Radio are on tour again, promoting One For The Good Guys, their debut EP out on Black Numbers Records. They’re also currently working on a full-length due out in May. Until then, catch them all through January, bringing straight-up melodic thrash punk goodness to the masses. They’ll be on tour with Seasick, Capital, Agent, and opening up for the Sayreville, NJ Hot Water Music gig on the 25th.

Venerable drunkards The Pogues will be back again for their annual St. Patty’s Day East Coast American tour. Everyone’s favorite lush Shane McGowan will hopefully remain uninjured this year (last year he fell down and broke a leg) and be able to complete each night’s set, despite being completely wasted all the time. Polar Bear Club fans rejoice! The album is now up for pre-order at Red Leader Records, though the official street date is March 11, 2008, the word on the street is that if you order now, you may have it before Christmas! The band has also posted another track to wet your appetite called “Another Night In The Rock,” check out that over on their MySpace. Recently, Costa from LNWF sat down and chatted with Chris from PBC, check out the interview here.

The totally awesome and man-sexy O Pioneers!!! are on tour and, despite what you might have heard on the Internet about trashed hotel rooms and barfights with ninjas, are totally stoked to be on the road. Also, they will be able to bring you their split with Bomb The Music Industry on Team Science Records, featuring artwork by the very cool Mitch Clem.

So dust off your dancing shoes and get yourself a designated driver, because for OP!!!, you’re gonna need ‘em both. They’ll be playing with other bands you need to listen to including Bridge And Tunnel, Ghost Town Trio, and Bomb The Music Industry.

Spazz-rockers Jason Temple and Brian Esser, better known as Yip Yip, are continuing their checkered trek around the country in an effort to freak out as many people as possible. In between the madness, the duo have managed to record a new album, titled Two Kings of the Same Kingdom, which will be available February 5th, 2008.
