Posted on July 15th, 2008 by bill

If You Make It has posted a great video of Bridge and Tunnel performing a new track, “Call to the Comptroller’s Office” acoustically, complete with stand up bass! This is part of their “Pink Couch” sessions, where the band performs on the aforementioned living room apparatus. Check out the video here and while you’re there surf the rest of the site for some other rad videos.

Bridge and Tunnel have also posted a massive tour routing for the fall on their MySpace page, it’s likely they will be your area so don’t miss out.

Bridge and Tunnel, Slingshot Dakota, Attica! Attica! | Fontanas | 6/05/2008

Posted on June 6th, 2008 by bill

Bridge and Tunnel and Attica! Attica! played Fontanas in NYC last night with their friends Slingshot Dakota. B & T put on a great show as usual and the new songs from their upcoming full-length sounded great. The record is definitely one of our most anticipated releases of the year so be on the lookout for it this summer from the great people at No Idea.

This was the first time I saw Attica! Attica! I knew of them because of the Marathon connection but I was not expecting them to perform as an acoustic duo. They pulled it off well despite a few slip ups, which were played off well (perhaps their first tour together?). For the last two songs Pat and Jeff of B& T joined them on stage to play.

More about the show and photos after the jump.

By the beard of Zeus, I freaking love Bridge and Tunnel! So much so that I ventured out into the cold, face-freezing weather to Greenpoint’s Lost and Found Bar to catch them. What amazes me about the band is that even though they have only been around for a short period of time, they already pack more intensity in a three minute song than most current bands do with an entire full-length. And hey, any band that can nail a cover of Rumbleseat’s “Cursing Concrete” deserves a ten in my book.

Do yourself a favor and pick up their self-titled debut 7-inch from No Idea Records. The band, which is made up of former members of Slingshot Dakota and Latterman, are currently hashing out their debut full-length. They are aiming to have the record out early on in 2008, so be on the lookout for that. And of course, we have a Bridge and Tunnel song in our Late Nix Mix player on the right, so check it out.
