Fligh of the Conchords album cover

Our favorite New Zealand comedy duo are prepping the release of their first full length on Sub Pop for April 22nd. To wet your appetite they have posted an mp3 of “Ladies of the World” which you may remember from Episode 10 of the HBO series.  Jemaine and Bret don’t discriminate against any ladies including amphibians.  US tour please?

Variety has reported on what could likely be one of the biggest comedy tours ever in what has been dubbed “Will Ferrell’s Funny or Die Comedy Tour Presented by Semi-Pro.” The tour will be supporting Ferrell’s latest sports comedy (I think’s its time to move on to a new subject, Mr. Ferrell) Semi-Pro as well as Ferrell’s viral video site FunnyorDie.com. The best part about the tour though is the trio of openers which features 3 of todays finest in “alternative comedy” including Zach Galifianakis, Demetri Martin and Nick Swardson. Looks like Ferrell has some good taste in Stand Up.

According to Ferrell, “Not only will this tour make people laugh, but it’s going to change lives … I think.”

Writer/Director/Actor/Producer/Sandwich Lover/Stand Up Comedian Michael Showalter is releasing his debut album Sandwiches and Cats today! The album features guest appearances from Janeane Garofalo, Eugene Mirman, and Zak Orth and was a mix of two shows, one in Chicago and one at Union Hall in Brooklyn.
