Andrew Bird, Eugene Mirman, The Fiery Furnaces, and Les Savy Fav will all appear at the BarackRock Benefit on October 7th at The Music Hall of Williamsburg. This is a message to all the young musical upstarts out there. Here is your fail-proof plan on being the best band you can possibly be. Go to see Les Savy Fav and study lead singer Tim Harrington. Every. Single. Freaking. Move. I honestly cannot think of a more entertaining or engaging frontman on the indie rock circuit today. As expected, the band lite up the TLA (I refuse to call it the Fillmore Presents or what have you, so eat it) with an enthusiastic crowd in attendance this past Saturday night.

If you were there, we are sure you have stories. If you weren’t and sleeping or drunk, now you can share in the madness that was Les Savy Fav‘s 3 A.M. New Year’s Day ’08 show at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom. After The Ball Drops will be released on April 29th and documents the band’s show that night. Along with favorites like “Who Rocks The Party,” and “The Equestrian,” the band covered a wide-array of bands that night. Classics like The Pixies’ “Debaser,” The Misfits “Astro Zombies” and Nirvana’s “Sliver” were covered and they are present on the album.Check out the tracklisting after the jump and you can get a taste below with “Sweat Descends.” Check it!
