Limited Edition Eerie Von Prints Available At Generation Records

Posted on June 11th, 2010 by Matthew

In the wake of his widely-acclaimed book, Misery Obscura, five iconic photographs from Eerie Von’s collection are now available exclusively at Generation Records NYC. Says Von, “After many years, and thousands of requests, I’m extremely pleased to offer a set of very fine prints of some of the iconic photos featured in my book.”

Each image is available in a strictly limited, numbered and signed series of 10 silver gelatin prints in both the 8″ x 10″ and 11″ x 14″ formats and were individually printed by hand directly from the original negatives onto fine, fiber-based paper – as approved by Von himself.

Universal Cancels Metallica Interview Over Mentioning Of A Torrent

Posted on September 16th, 2008 by Costa

Universal Records reps apparently cancelled an interview between Metallica and writer Jonn Jeppsson of the Swedish paper Sydsvenskan after he reviewed a fan-remixed version of Death Magnetic that he downloaded off a bit torrent site. Jeppsson also mentioned exactly where he found the record online. They’ve furthermore threatened to cancel the paper’s access to any other Universal artists over this as well. The whole ordeal feels like a repeat of the Metallica vs. Napster debacle that the band have been working hard to overcome.

Death Magnetic was released September 10th, 2008. We heard it’s not that bad surprisingly.

VIDEO: Metallica – “The Day That Never Comes”

Posted on September 2nd, 2008 by late night wallflower

We can dream that Metallica‘s Death Magnetic will be good, right? The first single “The Day That Never Comes” opens with a sound similar to their classic “One” and finally gets heavy at the end. It’s sort of Metallica by numbers, but you know what, it’s already way better than St. Anger. Check out the video below
