Slingshot Dakota have announced their touring plans for the fall. The band will be traveling cross country for September and October, finishing the tour at The Fest 7. They need some help with a few dates so be sure to hit them up if you can help out. Check out the dates after the jump.
Bridge and Tunnel and Attica! Attica! played Fontanas in NYC last night with their friends Slingshot Dakota. B & T put on a great show as usual and the new songs from their upcoming full-length sounded great. The record is definitely one of our most anticipated releases of the year so be on the lookout for it this summer from the great people at No Idea.
This was the first time I saw Attica! Attica! I knew of them because of the Marathon connection but I was not expecting them to perform as an acoustic duo. They pulled it off well despite a few slip ups, which were played off well (perhaps their first tour together?). For the last two songs Pat and Jeff of B& T joined them on stage to play.

We reviewed it a few days ago, but now you can stream Slingshot Dakota’s new album Their Dreams Are Dead But Ours Is The Golden Ghost over at ThePunkSite. It will only be streaming till the 27th, so if you like what you hear, support the band and buy the record!
Wow. Like seriously, wow. Self-released by this drum-n-keyboard duo of Carly Comando and Tom Patterson, Slingshot Dakota are my new favorite band. At once simple and heartwrenchingly honest in all the right places, Slingshot Dakota’s pop-infused melodies in songs like “Until The Day I Die” and “Tour Song” will have you itching to jump out of your skin and just dance until you’re exhausted. Not to sound all jaded, but I rarely get this excited at a first listen to a band, but I played this record four times today and it was awesome every single time. I strongly recommend you get your hands on it any way possible. Conduct pillaging raids on senior citizen centers to get the cash for it, just get it.
