The man, the myth, the legend Ted Leo and his mighty Pharmacists rocked Spin Magazine’s Year In Music Party last night at the Highline Ballroom. Many free drinks were consumed and Ted made sure to make all the industry types dance and sweat a bit.

Wintertime in Boston is no fun, so it’s always nice to have an awesome show to warm you up. Ted Leo and Kristeen Young descended on the glamorous Roxy this past Saturday to try to make the nearly sold out crowd forget just how freakin’ cold it was outside.
It seems like these internet chats are all the rage lately. If you happen to have an hour to spare on Wednesday, November 28th around 12:00pm EST, head over to the Washington Post to talk to the man, the myth, the legend, Ted Leo. No word on whether the Pharmacists will be present to assist with the numerous questions you may have, but we can assure you that we heard through a friend the answers to your queries are briefs, purple, and vegan fish sticks.
Despite the immense heat and the reported illness of a close family member, Ted Leo still looked and sounded like a million bucks at McCarren on Sunday. In between tracks from his new album, Living With The Living (Touch and Go) and older cuts, Mr. Leo bounced all over the stage and still cracked wise with the huge audience. Although the show took place in a giant swimming pool with thousands of fans, the group still played their bouncy, catchy-as-hell pop songs with a punk edge, as if they were in your neighbors garage with 20 people. The highlight of the show, you ask? Well it came when Ted started covering Daft Punk’s “One More Time” to the wild applause of the audience. Or maybe it was when the girl who was way too drunk came on stage and tried to get in between Ted’s legs to do god knows what. Or maybe it was the fact that The Pharmacists put on one hell of a live show that you are soon not going to forget. Yeah, that’s it.
