Hello! My name is Matt Pullman. This is my personal site where I will detail my latest projects and goings ons.
Of late, I have been working with my friend Bill Shouldis on a podcast called MISSING WORDS.
Started in the summer of 2017, our first couple episodes have featured Blake Schwarzenbach of Jawbreaker, Lauren Denitzio from Worriers, artist / former Clash manager Kosmo Vinyl, artist/activist/writer Vivien Goldman, and photographer Glen E. Friedman.
You can check out all those episodes over at Missing-Words.com
From 2009-2014, I worked in the music industry and handled marketing campaigns for record labels Doghouse Records / Working Group Artist Management and Daptone Records.
I also spent close to a decade working at Generation Records in Greenwich Village, NYC. While there, I booked in-stores with bands / artists like Ted Leo, Stephen Malkmus, The Gaslight Anthem, Fucked Up, forgetters, Paul Collins, The Budos Band, Obits, Future of the Left, ...and you will know us by the Trail of Dead, Joyce Manor, Swearin' and many more.
Around 2004, I started a webzine - Late Night Wallflower - with a few nerdy, opinionated college radio DJs - Elona Jones and Alfie Palao. A ton of people helped out with the site over the years, including Bill Shouldis, Gabe Abaud, Brianne Sullivan, Dustin Wagner, Leah Pavlik, Constantine Koutsoutis, Lauren Denitzio, Jason Bergman, Linda Wildemann, Eric Van't Zelfden, Eric Grubbs, and others. Basically anybody who would write about stuff for free.
Over the years, the site went through many different redirects. Regardless of our thought patterns, we got to interview a bunch of really awesome people over the years including Henry Rollins, Ian MacKaye, Laura Jane Grace, Chuck Ragan, Paint It Black, Screaming Females, Fucked Up, Dillinger Four and many more.
The blog ended around 2012-2013. You can view a few old interviews here.
Feel free to shoot me an email here! Thanks for reading.
